Coaching PHilosophy
GAMES APPROACH
I believe the best way for players to develop is to play more, especially in Small Sided Games. Through individual skill development and small sided games players experience a game-like environment while being immersed in general basketball concepts and principles. Small Sided Games increase time on task and encourages players to make game-like decisions, self-organize, and empowers them to find solutions through play.
Curriculum BAsed
I believe that it is important to have an approach based on principles that can help guide student-athletes in their learning and development as a player. After years of learning and compiling coaching resources, drills, videos, etc. I have completed a curriculum that best reflects my philosophy of coaching. This curriculum provides a foundation for players and coaches to learn and grow.
Sharing the Game
Coaches, modify and alter drills, plays, and schemes that they have learned to fit the needs of their players in order to put them in a position to be most successful. As a coach, I feel it is a responsibility to contribute to the community of basketball by sharing the things I have learned that has helped players be successful. Through sharing I hope to empower others and help to grow the game.
